They are your opportunity to try take six unmodded units and carry them above and beyond by killing at least one enemy unit.

Four troopers of that plus two pugs that focus their module choices on heals + self dodge against enemy bullets was cheap and efficient way of sweeping enemy stacks.Īnd do not autoresolve those militia battles against autonom armies. Its been awhile since i last played in mora secundias but i vaguely remember my Trooper's module choice was like electrified ammo, accelerator for boosted damage/range, and nanoheals. It will never truly be yours until there've been boots on the ground in there.Ĭome up with an cheap but super efficient Core unit design with modules. If you kill the defender or persuade them to move off it, but you don't move your unit into it? Then it still belongs to the occupier. You have to kill or persuade the occupiers and move a unit of yours into the now empty node to fully annex it. Important tip is, if a sector has been conquered or settled by you but there's still an node controlled by CORE or Carminia it isn't 100% cleared and yours yet. Next, plan out your city placements, each settlement you set up can control up to four more sectors so if you settle well, there will be no gray spots in your area of control. One of first things I did was bumrush an opposing AI to remove them from the list of opponents immediately, it cost me my entire army except for my heroes but it worked very well. I went the independent route and beat mora secundias on my first try. Or should I start over with a different approach? Does the strategy with "waiting off" does work here? Should I focus on defence, while Paragon NPC armies will take care of AI opponents? I'm pretty sure AI opponents are doing just fine, they don't seem to be taking that much damage from NPC attacks (hard to tell without vision, probably will need to work on map covert ops). The NPC armies are starting to become troublesome.

So far I've defeated Jack Gelder and I'm attacking Amazons, but now I'm left with 6 opponents encircling me and I don't think I will be able to protect myself and conquer opponents at the same time. The last one is probably soon too follow, plus one of his armies got "stuck" because I've taken over a colony which he was aiming for. Around turn 50 I have only one ally left, because stupid AI, even though they had strong armies, left their capitals protected with a small army (ofc with their main hero in it) and were obliterated (I wonder how it is so that when I attack AI their main armies are usually close to the capital). I'm currently playing Kir'ko Carmina route, but things are looking grim for me.

What is you're general strategy for this map? Try to start with as many allies as possible? Wait for good rng with starting positions? I'm not sure if it's actually possible to get all of the races to go in the same direction, but I'm pretty sure you can (for instance) get four races to side with Carminia, play one of the remainder yourself, and get the last to go independent, so the finale ends up being 8v3v1. It'd probably require replaying a lot of the campaign, but one other thing you can do is try to 'stack the deck' by having as many races as possible pick the side you're going to take - particularly important if you want to try the independence option. If you've sided with Carminia, she's going to be regularly doing something about as bad to your opponents, as you've hopefully already noticed, so the name of the game is outlasting your opponents. I think they're not supposed to spawn in sectors you own, but if there are any empty sectors, those are fair game.īroadly speaking, I think the idea is that you do need to commit substantial forces to your own defence rather than going all in on anybody (unless, of course, you side with CORE).
